Happy Monday!

How were your weekends? The crazy warm weather here is making it impossible to stay inside. There is alot of this going on:

I have a bunch of things I need to share including some yard sale finds and the gardens I put in this year :)

Post Holiday Monday

Vacay is officially over - aside from it being next to impossible to get out of bed, I am actually excited to get into the groove of things again.  How were your weekends?

Mine Consisted of:
- a little thrift shop run
- playing some games (apples to apples is our new addiction)
- making a house to do list (curtains, counter, sink, doors etc.  - quick stuff, right?)
- brainstorming session with Cassie for an exciting new opportunity!
- cooking - operation "No Take Out" is in full swing
- and working on the most ridiculous DIY craft project ever for a friends party this coming weekend - will have to wait until after to share, but it makes me laugh every time I walk by it!

this weeks finds
and this lamp! which prompted us to get rid of our floor lamp, which obviously
leads to changing everything on the walls
ingredients for a crazy craft project!

Monday & Amazon Fail

Happy Monday! Did ya'll have good weekends? Put a dent in your Christmas to do  list? I actually managed to finish a few things! This week I have a few shopping trips planned, and hopefully cross a lot of things off!

Speaking of shopping, this year I did a BIG Amazon order, and had everything shipped here, as in my experience I have always gotten my parcels in a generic Amazon box. Clifford's "big" present was a waffle maker (something he has wanted - I always said no) so I thought it would be a nice surprise.... well it would have if it hadn't been delivered in a non-amazon box, with a big picture of it on the side - while I was at work and he was home... so surprise! Has this happened to you? I am going to have to start shipping things to other people's houses!

On the bright side we have has an extra month of waffle breakfasts!

Parade, Cleaning & Crafting

This weekend was our Santa Clause Parade, and with having Swiss Chalet Festive Specials the night before, it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

Overall it was a productive weekend, I have been working a lot lately (which I love) but it leaves less time for day to day stuff - like cleaning :). So I cleaned the house from top to bottom, got some work done on some of my Christmas projects, spent time with the fam,and Christmas shopped.

How was your weekend?

Let it Snow

We had our first signs of snow yesterday - I love snow for the lead up to Christmas - and then it can go away :) My family was down today to do our annual Christmas craft - and now I think it's time to curl up with my good friend Kindle.

Hope you are all having great weekends!!

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend was Thanksgiving here in Canada. Our weekend included a wedding, pumpkin patch, family, turkey, sneaking on to farm land to do a photo shoot of the kids and dinner out with friends, and the best weather ever. How was your weekend? Now I need to focus on getting everything done for Halloween!

Monday Monday

I had  a great weekend, but can't show you because my pictures aka my cell phone is not cooperating and letting me get my photos off it. This weekend included yard sales, a trip to the fall fair, hanging out with friends in the RV (it's home from the mechanics!) and a family nature walk. How was your weekend?

Last week I showed a sneak peek of my Halloween costume - and  asked what you thought the theme was - and you guessed it Harry Potter! We are planning a Hogwart's Halloween party, so I am excited to get planning that (oh and that sweater I showed in the sneak peak - finished the back piece - realized it was to big and started over..but it's going well now!)

I am also excited for next months Halloween Blog Event! -we have lots of exciting guest post from some of our favorite bloggers, so make sure to check that out! So yeah lots of fun stuff coming! Happy Monday everyone!

Yard Sale Season is Wrapping Up

This weekend we hit up a few yard sales - glad that the season isn't quite over yet. Again we had great luck - my friend Emily was looking for care bears for her daughter and we found a whole table of them , I had been looking most the season for the fisher price RV (Emily has one and I've been hoping we could find another) and I did...and it was only 25 cents!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Weekend In The Country

Spent the weekend at the 'rents because Scooter was away on a fishing trip. Junk shops, country markets and giant fungi galore! Nice to get away from the city for a while :)
What did you get up to this weekend?

Country Market also non-PC known as Wendy's Wigwam

Giant Puff Ball! 3x the size of my head and totally edible!

Just Lily & ME

Clifford left yesterday to take the older girls camping (the great outdoors and I don't mesh well), so it's just me and Lily for the weekend. Last night she helped me with my Gwyneth recipe, and I think we are going to go for a walk downtown today followed by dinner with friends at our fav German restaurant.

Hope  your having a great weekend! What are your plans?

Picnic Time

Saturday I headed up to Bloomfield and Picton, for some shopping and a little picnic. I was sad at the lack of yard sales on the way there - the season is ending!!

How was your weekend? We also put a big dent in our room reno, and maybe had a little too much to drink at Cassie's bachlorette reunion... my pictures did not turn out to great - but I may be able to post some :)

No matter how hard I try - she always looks like an extra from Annie
aww Aminah wrote love notes ...well kinda

So Busy!

I feel I have been MIA from here lately - well I missed 2 days, and am feeling guity.
This weekend was pretty jam packed and I have a lot of catching up to do! I have a few outings to post about, another Gwyneth recipe, and hopefully a progress on our bedroom, which we are almost done painting.

Lily offered her services, but we have decided not to accept her painting help again :)

Happy Weekend

Happy Friday! Any big weekend plans? I'll be out bright and early on Saturday for my weekly yard sale fix, and now I'll be on the look out for cute things to fill the RV (the mechanic called us back last night and everything is ok, just some old parts that need replacing but nothing to crazy!)

And I am sure I will spend alot of it chasing this one around :) Enjoy the weekend!

More things to paint!

This weekend's yard sales have left me with a longer list of things to paint and re-finish, hopefully I can get caught up on my regular work so I can get to it. I also found Kate a Harry Potter Wizard's chess set, she is a little more excited about that than the mirrors :)

How was your weekend? Hope you had a good one!

More Yard Sale Success

I think I am getting the hang of yard saling  - or just having a lot of luck this year...maybe both? I spent under $10 today, got a vintage fisher price record payer (I am saving this for Lily's 2nd birthday in 2 weeks), a 1960's chrome toaster, which was on my list of things I needed, since mine doesn't match my kitchen and is ugly ... that's a need right? Along with a red plaid  table cloth, napkins, toy stroller and some Dora sand toys for Lily.. not bad for $10!

I have also asked my friend to send me some pictures of her Fisher Price finds today - she got some amazing deals (one thing she bought retails on Etsy for $400!)

Hope your having a great weekend! I am off to do a few things before Kate's party tonight :)

a whopping $2 find

Busy Weekend

As I mentioned before this weekend was my friend's baby shower. I always get nervous hosting anything, because I think people won't show up, but I think everything went well, we had lots of food, and conversation :) I used the decor idea from this post, and my sister in law made delicious cake pops!

Afterward a few of us went out for dinner and to see Water for Elephants, which I loved! If you loved the book go see it - they stayed so true to the story!

How did your weekends go? Any big plans for the week?

There is a big empty space that was later filled with Michelle's homemade cinnamon buns :)

4/30/11

Good Morning

Happy Start to the weekend :) Today is my friend's baby shower, so I am up before the kids trying to get ready for it - though not much is going to get accomplished here until this cup of coffee sinks in.

What are you up to this weekend? Hope you weather is as nice as ours looks like it's going to be!
