In Virginia: Stumps Old Town Antiques

Did I tell you I was going to Virginia for a week? Well I did  :) Had so much fun and mostly relaxed but did run into a super cute antique shop nearby.  Stumps Old Town Antiques was adorable if priced somewhat above you're normal thrift store finds. These people know when they've got good stuff! I left with just pics...but wishing I had bought!

My sister Shmem found this great reproduction Fisher Price Camera at Urban Outfitters for ten bucks! Abey is one lucky baby! But really I think I've been playing with this more :)

I was going to post my friend Emily's collection first  - but it puts mine to shame (and I don't have her pictures yest -but soon!) So here's mine - she got me on to it and it is slowly taking over the kids room. Most were found at yard sales or kijij, the purse it actually my old one, my mom somehow managed to save it all these years with all the pieces and gave it to Lily this year for her birthday.  

It's pretty addictive trying to find the old toys I had as a kid - what did you use to play with when you were  little? Do you still have any of those old toys?

Sushine & Strange Finds

How was your weekend? It was so so hot here..not the good kind of heat though. The gross humid Ontario heat

Despite the heat - I was pretty busy   had an impromptu gathering Friday night where I made my first 2 Gwyneth recipes (will post later this week) Saturday, as per the norm, was spent yard sailing. We headed out of town and stumbled on some really great places and finds - (Although I think the heat was too much for Maya and she was pretty sick the afternoon). 

My best find was probably the original 1972 Kenner Blythe doll I found - and payed $2 for :) She needs some work but Maya is thrilled to have one (she has some mini ones and has wanted Cassie's for some time) We are excited to fix her all up!

Yard Sales and Family

This weekend's loot - I am pretty sure I am have an addiction :) But hey if I can indulge my gather instinct for 6 bucks, why not??

The rest of Saturday was spent about an hour and a half away at my aunt's birthday party, where I pretty much spent my time chasing Lily around and keeping her out of things :)
