Henna Feet

My sister Shmemadoo came over to visit and I let her practice Henna on my feet :)

She did this all free hand, just making it up as she went!

I think I am in Love....

Isn't this the cutest??? I am pretty sure I need it.

Also my guest post is up on Rain or Shine, if you know anyone who is pregnant, send them to Kira's blog. They will find her Mama Knows Best Series very informative :)

Fathers Day > Etsy Love

Happy Wednesday :) Today I am excited to be a guest blogger over at Kira's blog. She is expecting her first baby and has been doing a weekly Mama Knows Best Feature on her blog (the post should be up at some point today).

And speaking of babies, Father's Day is this weekend. What are your plans? Here is a little  Etsy Inspiration if you are still searching for a gift!

Restyle > Key Holder

I am not sure where this came from, I think Clifford had it before I met him, I never like to get rid of things made of wood, so I thought I'd try and spruce it up a bit, see if I could make it match our kitchen more :)

Harry Potter Sorting Cupcakes

We had Kate's party this weekend - and having 5 11 year old girls over wasn't nearly as hectic as I thought it would be....but I am glad it's over for another year :) How was your weekend? Get up to anything exciting?

My favourite part of the party was the "sorting" cupcakes. I baked the cupcakes and then cut out the centers using my apple corer. I then made icing in the 4 house colours and filled the holes. Once done I decorated the tops with a generic colour so you couldn't see the colour, so when dessert time came the kids were "sorted" into their Hogwart's houses. It was very fun and the kids really enjoyed it, we ended up with 1 Ravenclaw, 1 Gryffindor, 1 Slytherin and 2 Hufflepuffs :)

The first batch of icing filing I did was too runny - so it just absorbed into the cupcakes, that's why it looks like the colour was running - I re-filled  them with store bought icing that was nice and thick and the result was so much better!

More Yard Sale Success

I think I am getting the hang of yard saling  - or just having a lot of luck this year...maybe both? I spent under $10 today, got a vintage fisher price record payer (I am saving this for Lily's 2nd birthday in 2 weeks), a 1960's chrome toaster, which was on my list of things I needed, since mine doesn't match my kitchen and is ugly ... that's a need right? Along with a red plaid  table cloth, napkins, toy stroller and some Dora sand toys for Lily.. not bad for $10!

I have also asked my friend to send me some pictures of her Fisher Price finds today - she got some amazing deals (one thing she bought retails on Etsy for $400!)

Hope your having a great weekend! I am off to do a few things before Kate's party tonight :)
