Out Door Writting Sheds

Clifford and I have talked about building a craft room out in our backyard for me - so I don't have to craft at the table with 3 kids getting into everything... I go back and forth about whether or not I need one - but if I think of it more as a quiet space for either of us and maybe a bed in there to double as a guest room, I'm kinda sold on the idea :)

This link he sent me has some great examples.

Roald Dahl "the gypsy house"
Mark Twain

George Bernard Shaw "London"
Neil Gaiman

  1. Such a great idea. How awesome to have space to even do something like that. I hope you do it! And, of COURSE Neil Gaiman's writing space appears to levitate in a whimsical setting. Dreamy perfection.

  4. OMG that sounds aaaammaaaazing!! I've turned the last two dining rooms I've had into my craft areas, but a whole craft shed...now that would be a dream come true!

  6. I would give my right arm (my pencil-holding hand) to be able to have a writing gazebo like Neil Gaiman's. I'd have to learn to write with my left hand, but it would be worth it.
